Submitting Print Jobs: How do I ...?

    Direct Print Driver for Windows Computers


    Students have the option to download WEPA™ printer drivers to their personal laptop or desktop. A student can then submit jobs directly to the WEPA™ network from on or off campus by selecting the print function from any application.


    Installation


    1. Launch your favorite internet browser
    2. Visit wepanow.com
    3. Log in with your BW login credential.
      NOTE: Use the same login credentials you use for Blackboard or WebExpress.
    4. Click the download wepa print app icon
    5. Click the Download button for wepa print app (Windows PC)
    6. Depending on your browser settings:
      • Click Run to download and run the wepa installer automatically
      • Click Save to save the file to your computer. You will need to locate the file on your computer and then double-click to launch the installer
    7. Click Yes if you are asked Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?
    8. Follow the installation wizard.
      There are now questions to answer


    Submitting a print job

    1. Open the document you wish to print
    2. Choose File > Print or ctrl+p to lauch the print window
    3. Select the appropriate printer:

      • wepa-BW (Black & White)
      • wepa-Color (Color)
    4. Select standard printing options; such as the number of copies to print

    5. NOTE: You can set additional printing option by pressing Properties or Preferences

      • Number of pages
      • N-up Printing
      • Duplex Printing
      • Page Orientation

    6. Press Print
    7. A wepa print dialog box will appear.

    8. Press Proceed
    9. Provide your BW login credentials when prompted
    10. NOTE: If you are printing from a personally-owned computer you can click Remember me to save your information for futuer printing.



      NOTE: Campus guests, using a Baldwin Wallace Lab Computer can click the Guest Print button to proceed.

    11. A release code will be displayed once your job has been successfully submitted.

      This code can be used to release individual documents


    Supported Document Types

    Any printable document can be printed using the Windows print driver.

    Direct Print Driver for MacOS

    Students have the option to download wēpa printer drivers to their personal laptop or desktop. A student can then submit jobs directly to the wēpa network from on or off campus by selecting the print function from any application.


    In order to install the driver, a Mac must be running at least MacOS X 10.6.


    Installation

  • Launch your favorite internet browser
  • Visit wepanow.com
  • Log in with your BW login credential.
    NOTE: Use the same login credentials you use for Blackboard or WebExpress.
  • Click the download wepa print app icon
  • Click the Download button for wepa print app (MacOS)
  • Depending on your browser settings:
    • Click Run to download and run the wepa installer automatically
    • Click Save to save the file to your computer. You will need to locate the file on your computer and then double-click to launch the installer
    • Follow the installation wizard.
      There are now questions to answer


  • Submitting a print job

    1. Open the document you wish to print in its application.
    2. Choose File>Print, press CTRL+P or select the appropriate command to select your document.

    3. Choose the appropriate printer:
      • wepa mono (black & white)
      • wepa mono duplex (black & white)
      • wepa color
      • wepa color duplex
    4. Select standard printing options such as number of copies and page range

    5. NOTE: You can set additional printing option by pressing Properties or Preferences

      • Number of pages
      • N-up Printing
      • Duplex Printing
      • Page Orientation

    6. Click Print
    7. When the wēpa print dialog appears, press Proceed
    8. If prompted, Log in with your BW network (sdurr15@bw.edu) and password


    9. NOTE: If you are working on a personal computer, you can click the "Remember me" checkbox to save this information for future printing



      NOTE: Campus guests with a wēpa account should log in with their email address and password


      On public and lab computers, campus guests can also press the "Guest Print" button.



    10. Click the "Remember me" checkbox to save your address and password for future printing
    11. A release code will be displayed once your job has been submitted. This code can be used to release the individual document.


    Supported Document Types

    Any printable document is supported using the MacOS direct print driver.

    Upload Documents to the wēpa Website

    With wēpa, you can always submit a document for printing wherever you have access to a web browser.


    Submitting a print job

    1. Visit wepanow.com
    2. Log in with your BW network account (sdurr15@bw.edu) and password
    3. Campus guests with a wēpa account should log in with their email address and password
    4. Click the "Web Upload" icon
    5. Click "Browse" and select the file you wish to print and press the "Upload" button

    6. Select your desired print options:
      • Range of Pages to Print
      • Black and White or Color
      • Page Orientation
      • Duplex Printing
      • Number of Copies


    7. Press the "Send to wēpa" button
    8. After your document is uploaded and processed (this may take some time), a summary page with a release code will be displayed


    9. Suported File Type

      • Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx)
      • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx)
      • Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx)
      • Adobe PDF Format (.pdf)
      • Rich Text Format (.rtf)

      There is a 20MB size limit on uploaded files.

    Submit Documents via Electronic Mail

    With wēpa, you can now submit a document for printing via email!


    SUBMITTING A JOB

    1. Open your favorite email client, web mail site, or BW email account
    2. NOTE: Members of the BW community must send from the BW email address to link to their wēpa account.


      Guests with WEPA™ accounts should send from the address linked to their account.


      All other addresses will print as a guest.

    3. Create a new message addressed to print@wepanow.com
    4. Attach one or more documents that you wish to submit for printing

    5. NOTE: By default, documents will be submitted for black and white, single-sided printing.


      IMPORTANT: To submit the document for color printing, type COLOR in the first line of the body of the message.


      IMPORTANT: To submit the document for duplex printing, type DUPLEX in the first line of the body of the message.


      IMPORTANT: All attached documents will be submitted with the same settings.


      To submit documents with different settings, use separate email messages.


    6. Send the message.
    7. After your document is processed (this may take a short time), you will receive an email confirmation with a release code.

    Supported File Types

    • Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx)
    • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx)
    • Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx)
    • Adobe PDF Format (.pdf)
    • Rich Text Format (.rtf)


    There is a 50MB size limit on the total size of all sent files. Other mail services may have more restrictive size limitations.

    Mobile Application for Android Devices

    The WEPA™ Print app allows you to print supported files and send them to the wēpa print network directly from your Android device. All print jobs are securely stored in the cloud for 96 hours and may be retrieved from any kiosk.

    Installation

    1. Visit the Google Play Store on your device.
    2. Search for the "WEPA Print" app and install it for free.

    Submitting a print job

    1. Open the "WEPA Print" application from your Android device.
    2. Log in with your BW account and password.

    3. NOTE: Campus guests with a wēpa account should log in with their email address and password.


    4. Tap "Add File" to browse your device for the file to be printed.
    5. Select your print options:
      • Range of Pages to Print
      • Black and White or Color
      • Page Orientation
      • Duplex Printing
      • Number of Copies

    6. Tap "Send to WEPA" to make the document available for printing on the WEPA™ network
    7. To view the release code, double-click on the document in the document list

    The WEPA™ Print app allows you to print supported files and send them to the wēpa cloud directly from your Apple iOS device. All print jobs are securely stored in the cloud for 96 hours and may be retrieved from any kiosk.


    Installation

    1. Visit the Apple App Store on your device
    2. Search for "WEPA Print" app and install it for free
    3. Open the "WEPA Print" app to initialize it
    4. Log in with your BW account and password

    5. NOTE: Campus guests with a wēpa account should log in with their email address and password.

    6. Close the application

    Submitting a print job

    1. Open any email attachment, dropbox file, or PDF and tap the share icon in the top right corner of your screen
    2. Tap "Open In..." and then choose "WEPA Print" from the available options
    3. Select your print options:
      • Range of Pages to Print
      • Black and White or Color
      • Page Orientation
      • Duplex Printing
      • Number of Copies

    4. Tap "Send to WEPA" to make the document available for printing on the wēpa network

Releasing Print Jobs at the Jacket Print Kiosk: How do I ...?

    Printing Documents with a Jacket Express

    Your Jacket Express is the easiest way to access your submitted documents.


    Students with a valid student ID card can simply swipe at the kiosk to log in. All of the documents you have submitted under your account willbe displayed. Just select the document(s) you wish to print and select one of the valid methods of payment.

    Printing a Document Using a Release Code

    If the document was submitted using the "Guest Print" option, then it must be released using this method. Release codes are 6 alphanumeric codes (3 letters and 3 numbers) provided when a document is uploaded. Release codes are a shortcut to printing single print job documents.



    Follow the steps below to use release codes at Print Stations:

    • Select “Release Code” at wēpa Print Station start up screen
    • Enter the 6 alphanumeric Release Code that was provided after uploading document
    • Document will appear with the ‘Select File’ box checked
    • Choose method of payment to print document

    Login with a BW Username & Password

    Your BW username and password can also be used to access your submitted documents.

    • Just touch "User Login" then "Username/Password" and enter your BW network username and password using the touchscreen keyboard
    • Once you have logged in, the documents submitted under your account will be displayed
    • Then just select the document(s) you wish to print and select one of the valid methods of payment

    Login Using a WEPA Account

    Campus guests have the option of creating their own wēpa account for storing documents and payment.

    • Just touch "User Login" then "Username/Password" and enter your email address and password using the touchscreen keyboard
    • Once you have logged in, the documents submitted under your account will be displayed
    • Then just select the document(s) you wish to print and select one of the valid methods of payment


    When you choose the documents that you want to print, you must also choose a method of payment on the touch screen:

    1. 1. Jacket Express - If you choose this option, charges will be posted to your Jacket Express account.
    2. 2. If you wish to deposit additional funds in your WEPA account, you can do so using a credit card at the Kiosk.
    3. 3. You can purchase WEPA gift cards at the Bookstore or Ritter Library. Choose the WEPA card payment option an insert your card.
    4. 4. To pay using a major credit card, select the credit card button on the screen. Note: Additional processing fees will be added to your charges.

Deposited funds can be accessed at Wepa Print Stations by selecting the wēpa account payment option. The total deposited funds from Baldwin Walalce will appear in the top right corner when logged in at a wēpa Print Station. There is no minimum balance that must be maintained and any remaining personally deposited funds can be refunded by contacting wēpa support (1.800.675.7639 / help@wepanow.com).   • Log in to your wēpa account
  • Select the Deposit Funds at the bottom (in red below)
  • Select the amount to deposit into the wēpa account by selecting the circle then select Submit.

  • Only these increments are allowed.

  • When prompted, swipe debit / credit card then enter Zip Code in the Zip field and CVV.

  • NOTE: Enter 00000 for Zip when using International card.

  • Select Submit to deposit funds into the wēpa account.

Frequently Asked Questions

    A wēpa account allows you to send files to the cloud, view your current print jobs, and deposit funds for printing. Wepa accounts have been created for all BW students, faculty and staff. Your wēpa username is your username@bw.edu and password.

    This is a fee being imposed by the financial institutions every time you use your credit/debit card to pay for a print job. You can avoid this fee by using your Jacket Express card or your wēpa account. You are not charged a transaction fee when you use your credit/debit card to deposit money into your wēpa account. If you want to use your credit card to pay for printing, send all your print jobs before printing from the kiosk. You will only be charged one $0.40 transaction fee regardless of how many print jobs you send.

    You can log in to the kiosk manually with your BW username.


    Contact the ID Office at 440-826-2410 to verify that your ID Card is active.

    Yes, if you are a BW visitor and do not have a Jacket Express card, you have two printing options:

    1. You can print directly from your USB and pay with your credit/debit card at the kiosk. Please note, there is a $0.40 transaction fee per print job when using credit/debit card.
    2. You can create a WEPA account at wepanow.com, and deposit funds to your WEPA account with your credit/debit card.

    Only 8.5x11 white paper is available at our wēpa stations. Please format your documents in this format before printing. Alternate sizes and other types of paper are available at Printing Services.

    When you visit the Jacket Print kiosk, you can do any of the following to access your print job:

    1. Insert your jacket Express Card
    2. Login with your BW login credentials
    3. Enter the release code that was generated with your print job was uploaded
    4. Login with your wepa account (BW Visitor)

    When you send a file to print, you will receive a 6-digit release code. This is your confirmation that the file was successfully sent to the print queue. You may view your stored print jobs by logging into the WEPA Print mobile app (available from the iTunes store for iOS or from the Google Play store for Android) or WEPA website with your BW username.

    Jacket Print supports iOS and Android devices.



    NOTE: Support for BlackBerry or Windows OS devices is not available at this time.

    The following types are supported on iOS and Android devices: .pdf, .rtf and all Microsoft Office file types.

    Documents are available for release for six days. If you have printed your document and would like another copy during the six-day window, you can Recover the file at the wepa to print it again. Documents are permanently removed from our servers after six days.

    There is no file size limit for laptop and desktop uploads.


    USB drives, web, and mobile uploads have a file size limit of 20 MB.

    Yellow Jacket Printing kiosks will read USB drives formatted in FAT, FAT32, NTFS or exFAT.
