If a student, faculty, or staff wishes to change their pronouns or chosen name or nickname for their display name, they must complete the Chosen Name Change Form.

Your Chosen Name will be used on non-legal communications and documents at BW. Individuals should be aware that this could include communications beyond our campus. For instance, student, faculty, and staff chosen names are used when recognizing accomplishments on our website and social media channels and included in press releases, which could be picked up by media in Northeast Ohio and in the hometown of the individual being celebrated.

As only some people who elect to use a chosen name on campus would want that name used beyond campus, we call this to your attention before completing the process.
